Semi-Annual Conference of Dejian Group held in Beidaihe, Hebei Province

      On July 23rd, the summary conference for the first half of 2019 was held by  Shandong Dejian Group in Beidaihe, Hebei Province, which systematically reviewed the work and deficiencies since "Mount. Changbaishan conference" held in July 2018, especially work in the first half of the year, and arranged the key work for the second half year and the future. Nearly 50 managers and directors in charge of business sections and sub-branches attended the meeting.

      Mr. Jin haiyang, Chairman of the Board of Dejian Holdings, Party Secretary and Board Chairman of Dejian Group, spoke at the meeting. Mr. Ma Zhixin, General Manager of the Group summarized and arranged the work. Mr. Xia Kai, Deputy General Manager of the Group presided over the meeting. Senior executives of the Group, principals of each branch, and directors of departments, HQ made debriefing, sharing experience and suggestions. The atmosphere was very lively. The meeting lasted for nearly 9 hours.
      Mr. Jin pointed out that the main purpose of the meeting was to review the work since the "Mount. Changbaishan conference" carefully and calmly, and to promote, reform, innovate and develop Dejian to a higher level without any distractions.
      Mr. Jin gave full affirmation on reporting by managers and directors, and also encouraged the company to create the atmosphere of criticism and self-criticism, showing both highlights and insufficiencies, proposing criticism and suggestions, so as to get everyone "shaming, blushing, and sweating" on their work.
      Mr. Jin pointed out that the company should further focus on its key work: Firstly, continue to unswervingly go out, firmly hold the faith of "rejuvenating the main industry and keeping its leadership", respect the regulations of development and pay more attention to the allocation of resources and maintain a reasonable pace of development. Secondly, develop vigorously green buildings with scientific and technological innovations, and implement the general contracting model. Thirdly, get major breakthroughs in capital operations and effectively reduce the leverage ratio. Fourthly, control major risks on laws, taxes and regulations, including quality, credit, safety and capital, etc..
      Mr. Jin addressed that we should unswervingly implement the core value system of Dejian Group, and correctly handle the relations among the state, the company and the individual. Meet the needs of national economic and social development by contributing wealth to the society, paying taxes in accordance with the law, and delivering high-quality construction products as our own responsibility so as to attribute to the prosperity and power of our country. Meet the needs of the benign accumulation of the enterprise by improving management level and competitiveness of the enterprise, maintaining reasonable profit level of the company as its own responsibility to ensure the vigorous development of the enterprise. Meet the needs of the vast staff for a better life by creating a scientific compensation and performance system, and fair income distribution mechanism as its own responsibility so that employees fully enjoy the company's development at every stage.
      According to Mr. Jin, managers at all levels should do a good job in self-management, first on thinking model, second on self-study, and third on decisions. To meet the above requirements, one must improve insight and observations for the first, and learning ability for the second, and sense to report on task completions for the third. He stressed that reporting based on tasks is like carrying out orders as to a soldier, as there is a saying in Chinese that “Do as one says, and ends it once start”. It is not simply replying, but showing an attitude and personality. In the next step, the company will take "rehabilitation" as the regulation and culture to promote, and may set up a special department to improve the rehabilitation ability of managers and employees, to enhance the executive force of the company, and ensure the efficient implementation of all strategic decisions.
      Mr. Ma, GM of Dejian Group comprehensively summarized the company's work in the first half of the year, and arranged the work in the second half of the year. He also shared the thoughts on high quality development and the company's core value system.
      Mr. Ma pointed out that in the first half of this year, the company increased significantly on main economic index, made new breakthrough on quality-product indicators, pushed forward a series of key work steadily with highlights, and he also pointed out that there are deficiencies on basis of management, risk control, management of subcontractors and suppliers, human resources, standardization and internal coordination.
      Mr. Ma urged managers to work together in the next six months to ensure the safety and completion of performance tasks, develop prefabricating  industry and implement“going-out” strategy with full power, vigorously collect pay-offs and attach importance to talents cultivation. Compared with the requirement of high quality development, he pointed out the direction of the company's efforts in market, industry and management mode.
      Mr. Ma was inspired by Mr. Jin's article, "striving to build the core value system with the characteristics of Dejian Group", which was brief, meaningful with profound connotations. Core value is the gene of the company, "ballast" of the company's high-quality development. To improve with stability and build a century-old enterprise, we must first unify our thoughts with the core value system, and be invincible in the market war. All manangers are required to take a responsible attitude towards the history and future of Dejian Group, firmly adhere to the core value system in business, so as to make more valuable and outstanding achievements for the development of the company.
      At the meeting, the deputy general managers summarized their work in charge. Managers of each business section, branch company, department office in headquarters made debriefing reports. Meanwhile, experts from state-owned construction enterprises and consulting companies were invited to give lectures and trainings.
